The first official competitions in water-motor sports took place in 1957 on the Minsk Sea. Currently, water-motor sport unites more than 100 Minsk athletes. Competitions are held in 4 classes of aquabikes and 6 classes of racing motor vessels. Every year, the Cup and Championship of the Minsk region, the championship of the Minsk region, the Cup and the Championship of the Republic of Belarus are held in various waters of Minsk and the Minsk region.

In 1989, the Formula 1 World Championship was held in the waters of the Chizhovsky reservoir. On September 9-10, 2011, the final stage of the European Championship “Endurance Pneumatics Class PR” was held at the Drozdy reservoir.1/ 2/ 3/ 4″, 15 September 2012 – European Cup “Minsk-2012” “Endurance Pneumatics Class PR.1/ 2/ 3/ 4”, 29-30 September 2012 – Cup CIS.
