Ski racing
Cross-country skiing is one of the most accessible sports, which predetermined its widespread distribution and development in the world.
For the Republic of Belarus, winning medals in cross-country skiing is a difficult, but feasible task. The results of the participation of Belarusian athletes in the past four years at the World Championships (silver medal), World Cup stages (places from 2nd to 8th), Universiades (7 medals) indicate a good potential for the development of skiing in the country.
Cross-country skiing has been developed in 5 of the 7 regions of the republic. In total, 3,700 athletes are involved in cross-country skiing in our country, and 177 coaches work with them.

World Junior Championships 1983 Kamotskaya Svetlana – 2nd place, Kuopio (Finland)
2009 ECM. Dolidovich Sergey – 3rd place, Rybinsk (Russia);
1974 World Championship. Rita Achkina as part of the USSR national team – 3rd place in Falun (Sweden)
-1984 Olympic Games 20 km Markashanskaya Tamara – 13th place in Sarajevo (Yugoslavia)
-1991 USSR Championship 70 km Sergeyev Sergey – 1st place in Kandalaksha
-1991 USSR Championship 15 km (skate) Kamotsky Viktor Evgenievich 1st place in Syktyvkar (USSR)
-1982 and 1986 USSR Peoples’ Spartakiads men’s relay (4×10) Belarus national team prize-winner of the USSR Peoples’ Spartakiad;
-1984 World Junior Championships Kamotskaya Svetlana – 3rd place, Trondheim (Norway)
