The Physical Training, Sports and Tourism Office of the Minsk City Executive Committee is established by the Minsk City Executive Committee. The Physical Training, Sports and Tourism Office is a division of the Minsk City Executive Committee. The Office is accountable to the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Sports and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.
The Office coordinates the operation of the physical training, sports and tourism offices of the district administrations of the city of Minsk, provides general direction of the organizations accountable to the Office.
The Office is in charge of pursuing a unified state policy in the area of physical training, sports and tourism in the city of Minsk and is in charge of control over the specified fields of activities. The Office bears responsibility for implementing the management functions it has been entrusted with.
The main functions of the Office are:
1. The adoption of measures to improve the development of physical training, sports, and tourism in association with the Sports and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus;
2. The development of regional targeted programs to advance physical training, sports, and tourism in association with the Sports and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus and the implementation of the said programs;
3. The assimilation of a scientifically proven system for the physical training and rehabilitation of the population, training of top-class sportsmen, development of the tourism infrastructure, coordination of physical training and sport work among the disabled persons and medically fragile people;
4. Participation in forming and pursuing the state policy concerning the creation of the physical infrastructure for physical training, sports, and tourism;
5. Assistance to city associations and other public associations focused on developing physical training, sports, and tourism;
6. Propaganda of a healthy lifestyle among the population;
7. Control over the observance of Belarus laws on physical training, sports, and tourism by sport organizations in Minsk regardless of their departmental affiliation and ownership type;
8. Control over the development of physical training, sports, and tourism in organizations of Minsk regardless of their departmental affiliation and ownership type;
9. Organization and holding of city competitions in the city of Minsk
