There are 3,781 sports facilities in Minsk, including: 7 arenas, 711 gyms, 23 stadiums, 1,577 planar sports facilities, 57 swimming pools, 153 mini-pools, 874 adapted rooms for physical education and sports.

The number of employees in the industry is 7,011 people, of whom 5,876 specialists have physical education.

The number of Minsk residents systematically engaged in organized forms of physical culture, sports and health tourism is more than 349 thousand Minsk residents or 18.4% of the total population of the capital, including:
at the place of study – 165061 people (35.9% of the total number of students);
by place of residence – 106,131 people (5.6% of the total population of Minsk);
at the place of work – 77,808 people (10.9% of the total number of employees).

The number of people systematically engaged in sports and wellness tourism is 15,810.

There are 9 physical culture and recreation Centers (FOCS) in the capital at the place of residence, which employ 288 full-time specialists. More than 650 wellness groups have been organized, including: children’s, youth, adult interest groups and sports. In winter, more than 200 physical culture and sports facilities operate in the capital, including:
115 skating rinks for mass skating of the population;
38 hockey boxes;
20 ski trails;
35 winter sports equipment rental points.

More than 1,500 mass and socially significant sports events are held annually in Minsk, in which about 900 thousand Minsk residents participate.

The most socially significant and mass events in the capital were: The Christmas tournament of hockey fans for the prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the republican ice hockey competitions among amateur teams for the prizes of the Presidential Sports Club, the Minsk Ski Track city winter sports festival, the All-Belarusian athletics cross for the prizes of the newspaper Sovetskaya Belorussia, the international youth basketball tournament, International Olympic Day, the finals of city competitions among children and teenagers in biathlon, skiing and shooting with air guns “Snow Sniper”, football “Leather ball”, ice hockey “Golden Puck”, physical culture and sports holidays dedicated to the Day of Workers of Physical Culture and Sports, Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the City Holiday and much more.
