Motorcycle sports

DOSAAF develops the following motorcycle sports disciplines in Minsk:
– Motocross
– Motoball
– SHKMG
Motocross is a race with a general start on special sports motorcycles, held on rough terrain along a closed track with natural (in the form of steep ascents, descents, turns, ditches, sand, etc.) and artificial (tables, trampolines, track bridges) obstacles.
Motoball is a motorcycle football game. It originated in the early 20th century in the USA, then the game appeared in Italy, France, Germany, England, Holland, Spain, Belgium. In the early 30s of the last century, the Soviet Union became interested in her. Almost every republic had its own teams, but motoball gained the highest popularity in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, and Lithuania.
In Belarus, the first match took place in 1965 between the teams of Minsk and Mogilev. Since 1966, national championships have been held. In 1991, there were 13 teams in Belarus. The Brest region can be considered the center of the development of motorball, in which the tone was set by teams from Luninets and Pinsk, representatives of these cities almost constantly took prizes and became champions.
In 1991, Pinsky Avtomobilist, who played in the first league of the USSR championship, took first place, however, with the collapse of the USSR, the team could not make its debut in the top league, after that many leading motorcycle players began to play for the teams of Russia and Ukraine.
In 1994, motoball in Belarus received a new impetus. The Belarusian national team made its debut in the European Championship and soon took the lead. In 2004, the Belarusian national team became the European champion, and became the silver medalist four more times and took third place in the European championships five times. Honored Master of Sports Anton Vlasovets is the best scorer in the history of the European Championships with 299 goals.
The backbone of the national team consists of players from Pinsk and Luninets, where there are their own traditions, and motoball is loved and popular. These cities have excellent bases for training high-level players.
To date, there are 6 motorcycle football fields in the Republic of Belarus, of which:
